Hey, _I_ was born in the 1970s, and I remember watching Battlestar
Galactica when it was first on TV here... I think it was the first SF TV
show I ever watched.

AFAIK he's pretty serious about the show; I think I read somewhere he was
trying to interest movie or TV studios into doing something with the show
again, but I can't remember the details. I believe it was in an issue of
Sci-Fi Invasion somewhere.
