Ok, I'm finally running a game now but there's a small catch.
I got no dice, I got no sheets, I got no pencils, heck, I don't even have a
book.

But the way I'm working it is that the player (singler) was the target of an
exstraction.
But the only people that knew his future employers are either dead or in a
coma.
He's got 1.2 million to live off of and the job's half-done. (He no longer
has a valid ID, since his new one was to be furnished by his new
corperation.)

Right now, the character is knocked out after going through the shock of a
run gone bad and see two people get shot up pretty good.

Did I mention that the player has no idea about the background of SR?

What I'm asking for is, instead of railroading him into a storyline, how can
I ease him into a runner's lifestyle?

If you got the time and the ressources, I would suggest watching "The Bourne
Identity". There, the main protagonist has the added complication that he's
lost his memories, but the lack of knowledge of the 'real' shadow-world might
be something similiar.

Let connections of his extractors look for him.
Let him hide.
Let him make some street-connections by himself.

Just let him make decicions.

Oh, and another question: Is somebody from the "Shadows of Europe"
team on this list? I would have to ask a favor from him/her.
