Arghh. FASA can be stressful sometimes. You see, in one of the runs
my players were on (Dream Chipper), they received shares in Global
Technologies as part of their payment. Most of them elected to hold
on to the shares knowing that their actions in helping the company
would send the share prices sky high. The thing is though, in one of
the novels (maybe Streets of Blood, but I'm not sure), Raven and Wolf
(I believe) ran against Global and stole the chips that the runners
had gone to so much effort to actually give back to Global. Needless
to say, I read this as meaning that Global will sink into nothing,
because their entire future depended on these chips.

So my players were slightly pissed when they tried to sell their
shares and found that Global had gone bust.

However, on re-reading the 'Seattle and the North-West' section in the
back of SR3 it says that Global is a major player and is one of the
biggest 'local' corps in Seattle. How they managed this is unknown,
but apparently they did.

Oh well, I guess in my game, Global will be bust.

Uh, y'know, you don't *have* to use the novels as canon. If you want
Global rough 'n ready, go for it. Why penalize your players when it
sounds like they worked hard for
something?

Well I could of I guess, except I have already told the players it
went bust.

You know ... you could have also interpreted the novel as Wolf & Raven
stole the chips and the runners got them back ... (I haven't read the
adventure or the novel so I don't know if it's a feasable
interpretation.)

And there's nothing wrong with saying "ooops. I goofed." and changing
something like that ...
