I could have sworn that Goblins are HMHVV forms of Dwarves in
paranormals europe. They also have stats for Minotaurs(sp), centaurs, and I
think Pixies. This might clear up lots of confusion about stats

I don't have any of the paranormals books, so I guess I don't have a
reference. But, they DO make sense as player character, I just can't
figure out what their stats would be.

Kurt objects to a goblin race in Shadowrun because "they're too weak in
D&D", and thinks the stats aren't "realistic"? Come on.

Trolls and Orks aren't standard PCs in D&D. Orks are often cannon fodder
in that game alongside goblins. And legends of goblins make them out to
be pretty bad dudes; Chaucer didn't struggle with the fine-details of
mythical beings. The point(s): Shadowrun is not D&D. Goblins can be
whatever you want.

I still say that Orks and Trolls are "goblins", the way blacks and whites
are "humans".

I noticed my error in later posts. Orcs are pretty weak in d&d, but are
pretty power in SR.

I guess if one wants to go by the "book", then all metahumans are a goblin
derivative since it was labelled goblinization, right?

I agree with another point you made about D&D and Shadowrun are not really
interchangable as far as monsters and stuff goes, I simply needed some sort
of basis.

Of course, one could say we aren't real sure how strong humans were when
orcs existed (*wink*) and they could have just been comparably weak to those
humans but pretty strong compared to us.

Ramble mode disengadged.
