This view is always going to be around, no matter the actions of the
Admin. If it's let run, people complain. If it's cut short, people
complain. No win either way, as far as being Admin/gridsec.

So Babs joined the list last week. All that new person see is a bunch of
people hollering at each other about politics that have nothing to do
with the rules in the books, or the novels, or what might be coming out
in the future. First impression of that person of the list? Same
impression the people who are hollering themselves blue. The argument
will continue, and nothing will change.

It's with a view of what the newer list members will think that we am
most concerned with, if we have to state whose side we are on. These
people present a valuable lifeblood for the list, and list politics are
the quickest thing to cause someone to leave. (Or if they actually do
stay, it just creates a bigger us or them camp. Again, no win either
way, this time for anyone)

A 24 hour warning to take it private is fair enough warning to parties
involved to make their final statements and take it to private.

Great dragon dunkie, could my grammer have been any worse.

(Could someone out there please tell me off list how to turn the
spellcheck for MS outlook on? (office 2k version))

...It's almost comforting to think that in the iconographic age of SR,
people's spelling and grammar has prolly gotten worse.....

And, let's be honest - there's not a lot new being said. Some people have
said what they intended to very well though, with a great amount of
politeness and relevancy; thank you.

A few people say "I think the Admins shouldn't be freelancers!" - and no
solid reason has been given why.

A few people say "I think some of the freelancers are far too teasy!" - And
some people, including myself, have agreed.

A few people say "There isn't a lot of Shadowrun discussion anymore!" - and
that's true of almost every online forum about SR, because there just
hasn't been a lot to discuss lately. Also, other forums, most notable
Dumpshock have taken away some of the immediacy that RN used to have. I
think it's generally faster to get a quick rules related question answered
on DSF than it is on RN. I also think RN is a much better atmosphere for
discussing "major" things, due to the nature of email over the web. But I'm
a geek - for a lot of people, the web is "where it's at".
