I'd just like to point out that sending a post to ShadowRN that you
have something for sale, is an advertisement.

While we're going the let the last one slide (ask Adam :) please look for
other alternatives if you wish to sell a Shadowrun product.

You can put an item up for action at http://www.ebay.com for a *very*
small fee.

At some point in the future Deep Resonance will have a trading house.

Put a notice up on your web page. If you put up any combination of the
words "Universal Brotherhood For Sale" you should receive a small flood
of email within a few weeks :)

If you don't have a web page ask someone who has a decent web page if
they would help you out (heck, to add a line to my web page to the
effect of "UB for sale, contact John Doe at John_Doe@******.com" would
take me a few minutes at most).

But please, don't post an advertisement to ShadowRN (unless you really
want to make that $1,000 donation to the EFF :)

FYI, letting the list know that your local gaming store has an out of
print product for sale and that your willing to provide it at cost for
the first person that contacts you is not an advertisement.

Simple rule: if you're going to make a profit, it's an advertisement.

Have fun,
Play nice,
-David Buehrer, your friendly neighborhood GridSec Assistant :)

I'm not sure if this was directed at me, or not; I was just ofering to
pick up some shadowrun books that were (I think) out of print that I saw at
a local bookstore. I wasn't planning on making a profit, just trying to
help out fellow gamers. All I was asking was the cost I would pay at the
gaming store plus shipping costs. Sorry if I offeneded anyone

According to Dave Post, at 14:32 on 25 Jan 99, the word on
the street was...

To clear up the confusion for everyone, that was not aimed at you; it was
aimed at the person selling a BABY for all he can get for it -- he's
attempting to sell something in order to make a profit, which is
explicitly forbidden by the FAQ. Offering to buy books at a store for
people who can't find them at home, and charging only what they cost you
(the books' price plus shipping), is OK.
