According to Spike, on Fri, 03 Nov 2000 the word on the street was...

> > Ok, I'm confused. Is it really that hard to unsub from this list?
>
> No. It's quite simple. You just need to know the syntax and correct address.
> None of us can remove you. Only you can do that (and possibly our fearless

Both Mark and Adam can unsub you, but I'm sure they'd appreciate it if
everyone were to try to do it themselves first. Only if you can't
unsubscribe for some reason beyond your control should you contact them
about this.

> listserv@*********.com is the correct address, I think.
> unsubscribe <password>
> is the command you need in the body of the message.

The address is <shadowrn-request@*********.com> but other than that, Spike
is spot-on. If you don't remember your password, you can make the list
server send it to you (that is, to the address from which you're
subscribed). A good command for those who don't know how to interact with
the list server, is "help". Send it in the body (not the subject line) of a
message to the above address and read the message you get back.

For those who like a WWW-based interface, go to http://lists.dumpshock.com
and follow the links.

listserv-lite@********.itribe.net
shadowrn-request@***********************************'t-remember.com
+ a couple of others
:)

That's why I've never unsubbed, I just don't remember where :-)
(j/k, don't unsub me then I wouldn't remember where to resub...)

In all seriosuness, I don't recall the list web address exactly, but, I
just go to Dumpshock.com and follow the links to find the info I need.
While perhaps everyone doesn't know that the list and forums and stuff
are interrelated, it's kind of silly to not even try.
Well IMO.

That would have been shadowrn-request@*********.org

You remember all the itribe addresses and you don't remember jackpoint?
Suffering from a memory leak there Spike? :)

Jackpoint was in effect for such a short time compared to the others.
And I think I was unsubbed for part of it (final year getting in the way of
my avoiding work).
