Ok. (Please. I don't want to do this. I'm not going to do this. I
think it's gross.) Does that mean that, in turn, a shapeshifter can get
cyber? I mean... magic is magic. And unlike DnD, it's defined. It
operates on principles that do not change.

I always thought that a transform spell DID mean that you could transform
the guy w/o the cyber. Seemed to make sense to me. Cyber is loss of
essense, essense is basically what the guy really is (or was, in the case
of some characters that look more like a house hold appliance...).
Transform should affect the guy, right? Not his clothes, not his
wristwatch, not his cybereyes.

But, if it DOES affect the cyber... then, by God, a shapeshifter should
be able to integrate cyber into his being as well. I mean, after all, the
shift is second (arguably first) nature to him. It's more natural then
the spell is, and more specific. (He only changes into one other form.
He knows what that form will be, every time.) It should be easier for him
to control said change, or at least predict it. Especially if the guy's a
full-blown mage as well. (Eww...)

One more reason not to let a shapeshifter into a game, unless all the
other players are minor gods as well. Hell, with an essence of 8, what
CAN'T this guy do now? (Yes Chris, I've seen the light. Took a long
time... but man, love is love.)

And I'm not going to say that I didn't mean to spark an arguement because
well, truth be told, I'm bored. All my exams are done.

Heh, offhand, I would rule that shapeshifters couldn't get cyber.
It seems simply wrong. I mean - turn the samurai to goo - the cyber changes
to goo as well. Now turn the shapeshifter into a tiger. Does the cyberware
turn into tiger too? Maybe. Perhaps shapeshifters could get cyber. I
would have to think long and hard on that one. However:

I can't imagine a shapeshifter _wanting_ cyber. The rules stress that
shifters are animals not humans, and that the animal form is the natural form.
To which form does the cyber apply? It surely couldn't work for the other form.
Then there is the question of, what do wired reflexes do to a tiger shapshifter?
Well, unless it is wires 3, I doubt anything. After all, the wires react slower
than the shifter does! =)

And Chris, I understand. That character had a _lot_ of personality
and background put into it! I liked Brandy a lot as well.... =)

Wait a minnit!! You mean to tell me that the cyber turns to goo, too??? In a
campaign of mine, this is how we made a little money on the side. Mage knocks
self out, but just rinse and sell the cyber. Admittedly, this was in '89,
before the SSC I, much less SRII.
