Okay, for the record, people...

According to Paul Hume, the guy who wrote the magic system, you can
ground through quickend and sustained spells, if the spell is a physical
spell. The groundout point is either the mage sustaining the spell, or
whatever the quickened spell is attached to.

According to the most recent comment made by FASAMike, the current DLoH,
you cannot ground through sustained or quickened spells.

Regardless of whether or not he played it himself, the fact that he
designed the system and knows more about it than anyone else makes him
the most qualified person to decide what can and cannot work within that
system.
