BASELINE: Average Male Human foot being 11 x 3 inches.
SQUARE INCHES: Since your foot is not a perfect rectangle I swagged the
amount to get a representative number.
SHOES: The values assume you are wearing shoes. Since shoes tend to have
slightly larger contact areas then your bare feet the PSI will be slightly
higher if you are barefoot. But if you care about that you can figure the
size of your characters feet yourself ;)
EXTRAPOLATION: Since as a general rule foot length is based on height I used
that to determine the average foot size of the various metahuman races and
sexes. To figure out the FMulti (or Foot Multiplier) divide your characters
height in inches by 67. You then use that value to multiply the average
length and width of a foot to get your values. Swag the values a bit (they
will be lower), multiply by 2 and then divide your weight in pounds to get
approximate PSI.
BIG RACES: Note that in all likelyhood I have overestimated the foot size of
the smaller metahumans and underestimated that of the larger ones. But until
trolls and dwarves pop up the listed values should suffice for any wierd
reason you need ground pressures.
