I'm not sure how well that would go over with the group at the moment, since
they're currently squaring off with a bunch of *real* vampires (and I don't
necessarily mean the disease-ridden unfortunates that are called vampires in
SR, though there are a few of those as well).

This, of course, means I'm going to have to do it as a mess-with-your-head
gesture.

3 CF and 40 kg, as it says in Rigger 2 on page 158 :)

My players by and large like my house rules for two reasons: 1)
they make sense, and 2) they had an active hand in shaping them.
Addressing issue 1), I don't make house rules for no reason. I
make them because there's some facet of the game that I disagree with,
either from a realism standpoint, a game-balance standpoint, or a fairness
standpoint. Many of them are combat-related, and are there to make the
game a little more challenging, lethal, and realistic. Some of them are
for things that just aren't (or weren't at the time) covered by the rules
(like how exactly the Stealth skill is used under SR2).
As for 2), I try to involve the players. When we're thinking
about using a house rule, we discuss it thoroughly before
