No. FASA probably deliberately didn't include actual calibres (as in
CP2020), to make bookkeeping easier on players and GMs.

Thinking about it, though, in the opening story in SR1, it mentions that
Ghost's Uzis fire 9mm rounds...

So, how about the following (all based on current-day weapons. It would
be very possible to see completely different calibres in 2055):

Hold-Out Pistols: .22
Light Pistols: .22, 7.65mm, maybe 9mm Parabellum at the higher end of the
scale
Heavy Pistols: 9mm PB, .357, .38, .44, 5.7mm (as used in the FN P-90)
SMGs: 9mm PB, 5.7mm
Assault Rifles: 5.56mm (.223 Remington), 5.45mm (Russian weapons), maybe
4.7mm caseless
Light Machine Guns: as Assault Rifles
Medium Machine Guns: 7.62mm (either 7.62x51mm NATO, or 7.62x39mm or
7.62x54mm Russian)
Heavy Machine Guns: .50cal
Assault Cannon: 20mm (maybe a bit too large, though)

What's the caliber on a GBU-8?

The Walther Palm Pistol is probably around .40 caliber

9mm Kurz or .380 maybe.

MMG is more probably firing 5.56mm like the LMG. It is just built for
heavier use.

actually weighs in at about 38 kilograms, and needs it. It is actually a
semi-portable machine cannon.

Try a High-Low pressure 40mm, kind of like an upgraded 40mm Grenade
Launcher, much better range, but probably has integral recoil dampening
to go with it's magazine ammo feed. Either that, or it could be akin to
a High-Low Pressure 30mm the US Army was playing with. It was too heavy
for human portability. Never issued.
