Does anyone else remember this gun? Well it seems to now be gaining ground
and believability from other individuals and definitely something worth
taking note. For those of you whom discussed this over a year ago, its the
gun that has the ammunition stacked within its chamber and fired in
electrically controlled sequence.

Should see the variations they are coming up with. ;-)

I can't remember exactly how this worked, K. Do they
fire off a 'barrel', then switch out for another
barrel, or can you put in new bullet 'stacks' (and if
so, how)?

Yeah, the website is rather scary...

As I recal, most of the guns required you to swap barrels to re-load.
Most had multiple barreles (4 to 7) with at least 6 rounds, full auto or
"cluster fire" capacity, and each and weighed less than a comparable semi
(not full) auto weapon. Carrying extra barrels would not hamper you much
compared to a similar conventional weapon with equal ammo.

Oh, marvellous. That's REALLY gonna work well for
point defense systems, isn't it? I hope they've come
up with a better system than swapping barrels if
they're designing point defense guns...

from what i saw on the videos on the Metal Storm site, it's stacks of
bullets that are replaced, not the barrells.

it'll make reloading more complicated, but not impossible.

If the point defense version mounts LOTS of barrells, it may be possible to
reload a portion of the barrells while the others are still able to fire.

Maybe alistmember in Brisbane should head over to the corp office and get
some brochures ::)
