Hey Gurth,

Is it possible to make the input text box line wrap automatically? Also, is
it possible to make the output text box line wrap too? (As the addition of
the >>>>>[ at the start and end of the text make the lines longer.)

Only because I'm lazy ... <grin>

Oh, and another thought, would it be possible to add an "SR3 Format" box and
have it output in SR3 style?

Sure it is. All you have to do is download a web browser that automatically
word-wraps in textareas...

IOW, this is browser-dependent. IE and Opera word-wrap, but Netscape
doesn't IIRC. It would be possible to add a function that inserts newline
characters where needed into the output text, but this would cause other
problems, such as you having to remove those newlines when you paste the
output into some other program.

I did think of it, but what is the point of this, precisely? All the
SR3-style is, is adding > or (>) before the first line and before the
poster's name. Not anywhere near as involved as the time/date stamp...

Oh? Really? And here I was all this time (using Netscape) thinking that
all those web pages with text boxes that didn't word wrap were written by
lazy incompetent coders. Many such text boxes do word wrap, however, even
under Netscape, are you sure that they're all using some horrible hack like
you suggest above to achieve this effect?

Oh, yeah, good point. <grin>

Running the risk of being considered a lazy coder now, I'll just say that
I don't know of a way in which Netscape can be made to word-wrap these
things...
