RTF stands for Rich Text Format I know the following word processor programs
can use it and probably many others.

NeXT uses an incarnation of RTF, and a superset called RTFD (which
allows pictures), in their word processor "edit". I don't know just how
compat. it is with other incarnations, but the NeXT I had access to could
not even display, and much less print the Mac PS version of all the NAGEE
books, but would read the RTF files.
