I know I already asked this, but I lost the post somewhere. Hardening I
know is like armor in the Matrix. It reduces the net successes of IC. My
question is, is this accumulative(6 free hits each time), or does it just
mean that during combat I have 16 boxes instead of 10(with the first 6 not
having any effect.(for Hardening 6) And what does the Sensors rating do. I
got several replies that it is the target number when IC resist Sensor
Utilities(like Analyze) but according to SR2, the Masking attribute is used
for this! Can anyone help me out?

It just reduces the successes. If you've got Hardening 6, and the IC has 8
successes, you take 2 Light wounds. If next turn, the IC has 9 successes,
you take 3 more Light wounds. You don't get extra damage boxes in any way.

Hardening automatically soaks up damage equal to its rating, the higher the
better.

<Sigh>,
Hardening: Treat as the "threshold" of successes the IC needs to=
get
to the MPCP programs. Like the colour code threshold of a node. Thus fo=
r a
hardening 6, the IC needs minimum 7 successes to score one box of damag=
e
on your Bod routine for example. (Phew! That's a _NASTY_ deck you got
there. Where did you pick up that icepick?)

Sensors: Sensors are your eyes in the matrix. If someone is tryi=
ng to
hide from you, then the stronger your sensors routines, the harder it i=
s
for them to stay hidden from you.

Hope that helps. Lemme know if I can help more chummer.

Virtual Reality-crafted deck. Meet the Sagecraft-10(the group is known on
the streets as the Circle of Sages... 1 decker, 1 hermetic mage, 1 Street
Samurai(w/ datajack, chipjack, and enough money to buy a small deck and a
Skillsoft for Computers....), and 1 sort of mixed guy) The MPCP was 12, so
6 was as high as I could get. Then I maxed out on Active Memory and I/O..

I need the game-mechanics for Sensors. I know what they do as far as
role-playing goes, but that doesn't really help game-wise...
