This sucker is officially out! Gosh, three SR products in a one month
period! Good thing I took my heart medecine... BTW the thing is mostly
adventure, but there are about 8-10 pages of Hawaii source material in the
back, including some new shamanic totems.

Wow! Blindsided! I had completely fogotten this book was even planned for
completion...

Where'd you see it (part of the country)?
Cost?
Does it have a good "feel?"
Worth the money?
Why's the sky blue?

C'mon! Inquiring minds want to go to Hawaii!

"Paradise Lost" is cute. I haven't seen the adventure/run section,
but I did get a good look at the Hawai'i sourcebook area. The info on
Hawai'i's sovereignty movement was interesting, especially the
takeover of Pearl Harbor when the Destroyers were out. It said also
that a good percentage of locals goblinized (imagine a troll
Samoan...scary!), so racial prejudice is virtually nonexistant
towards trolls and orcs (elves aren't so lucky...). Also, there's an
awakened and intelligent variant of the grey whale, but not much info
on it.
The new totems deal with the sea turtle and the "nene" (a type of bird),
there might be another. It has a few good descriptions on the Honolulu
area, but
the other island info is lacking...like the future international
spaceport on the Big Island, the telescopes on Muana Kea (yes, I'm an
astronomy major), the great University of Hawai'i (tell me you didn't
see that one coming), and the reclusive native-only island of
Ni'ihau. I'd like to see more of the new German influence in the
book, because they're having a big impact now.
There's some interesting stats in the book like Hawai'i gets more
shadowrunning than Seattle in a year, Polynesians make up only 10% of
the total population of the island, and a room in Waikiki will cost
you about 1000 nuyen a night.
Overall, it's nice, but I'd like to see a more comprehensive
sourcebook made, afterall, Hawai'i is the hub of the Pacific and all
its bordering countries (Japan, Korea, Australia, Canada, the Tir,
etc...).
