First off, I'd like to thank everyone that Welcomed me into the list. I
have been enjoying reading all of the emails (I even had to make a seperate
folder just to contain all of the list mails) And All of the information.

Secondly... About the advice for a group in my area. There are a few,
but my schedule is rather hectic and I don't think it would be fair to the
"seriously dedicated" gamers in my area to try and schedule a game aroung
me. So I have been trying to got a couple of friends interested.
(Semi-hopeful with a few)

And Last but not least, about the Solitair thing I do. It is mostly me
having fun creating and equiping Characters and then pitting them up
against eachother. Kind of a Shadowrun game of Chicken. I have a lot of
fun creating the Characters and I try to make a few things random. It
doesn't always work. But At least it's something :) :) :)

I know I said that the other coment was last, so I lied... I saw someone
mention that I probably make some pretty scary NPCs or something to that
effect. You are right! :) I do :)

Be persistent:) Better yet, try what my friends pulled: I was told that
some friends of mine were going to be playing Battletech during a lock-in
my troop went to, so we arranged to bring all our B-tech stuff to play a
game (would have been my first and only...). When we got there, they'd
brought Shadowrun instead of Battletech...So we played a game, sort of
(munchy, no-rules kill-fest:). Since then (it's been 2 and a half or
three years now), I've played several times and have most recently wound
up as GM (and I haven't figured out why! I'm the guy WITHOUT the main
rule book!)

:) I've been considering running something like that for my players or
for my hecklers (the guys who don't play, but watch and make fun) to keep
them occupied at times...

That was me. I was working on my own experience with (again)
Battletech...When I spent so much time with nothing to do but build
Mechs, I built some that (I think) were rather nasty...some really large,
almost (okay, maybe 'very' :) munchkin Heavy and Assault class nasties...

In that case, consider yourself lucky you didn't join a few months ago :)
Today it was a little over a hundred, then it was close to 200 a day...

Good luck with that, I know how hard it can be to get a gaming group
together if the only ones you know have never heard of RPGs before...
