You've successfully sent an email to the list, and this is pretty much
everything you need to know. You will get all the emails _other_ people send
to the list as well, and you can reply to them - and these replies will
automatically be sent to the mailing list as well.

Some additional advice:

- If you reply to someone, leave some quotes from the original post (like I
did) so that other people know what you are replying to - but cut out
anything not directly relevant. Write your own reply below the quotes.

- You may have a standard "signature" below your emails - where you can
write your name, the URL of your home page (if any), a cool quote or
whatever you might want - but keep the length of the signature to five lines
or less.

- Keep the posts relevant to Shadowrun.

- Do not ever send any emails in HTML to the list.

Hope that helps,

- Jürgen Hubert

First of all: Welcome to the list! We are currently
experiencing a spate of contemplative silence.

http://lists.dumpshock.com/mailman/listinfo/shadowrn

It seems the ShadowRN FAQ can't be reached from there
anymore, though.

I managed to find:

http://www.hoboes.com/pub/Role-Playing/Shadowrun/ShadowRN%20Mailing%20List%20FAQ

But that's *over a decade old*.

Maybe we need a new FAQ, or a repost. Actually, the
mailer program might have a command or two that might
automatically send out a list posting guidelines
thingamajig, but I'm not sure. Check the email you got
when you subscribed.

cheers,

Jan Jaap

I clicked on the link to the FAQ and it worked for me <shrug>.
