Hi!

I am currently doing a conversion of german Sr vehicles from
DidS / GitS to R2; as this is the first time I am doing such
a thing, I would ask you to look over this first one to prevent
me from doing it for nothing...

This one is a long-distance tourer

Original stats(which have been translated to english):

BMW R60 Euro
HDG SPD B/A Sig Pil Cost
R60 Euro 3/6 45/130 2/3 3 1 11.000 ¥
seating: 1 + 1*
economy: 2 l /100 km fuel: IC/30 L
CF: 1 CF above the tank, 1 CF Topcase + je 1 CF Sidebags
Extras: improved Suspension, Turboengine (2)
* sidecar (2.000 ¥) available

R2 stats:

BMW R60 Europe

Handling Speed Accel Body Armour Sig
3/6 130 6 2 0 2
Autonav Pilot Sensor Cargo Load
0 -- 0 3,8 80
Seating 1
Fuel Gasoline ( 30 liters )
Economy 12 km/liter
DP Cost 239 Cost 11950 ¥
Template Chopper

Features:
Handling Improvement (Level 1)
Increase Fuel Tank Capacity (Level 10)
Increased Cargo Space (CF 2)
Acceleration Increase (Level 2)
Improved Economy (Level 4)
Speed Increase (Level 70)

Thanx for doing it! I know I have been wondering about some of them
and curious as to what we are missing here in the states.

Looks good to me, the only thing I would ask is for a short
description of the vehicle if at all possible. Not everyone may know
what a long distance tourer or chopper may be. What format were you
planning on presenting this in? A database or text or what?

All in all, good luck with it.

According to ArcLight, at 14:26 on 28 Jan 99, the word on
the street was...

> BMW R60 Europe
>
> Handling Speed Accel Body Armour Sig
> 3/6 130 6 2 0 2
> Autonav Pilot Sensor Cargo Load
> 0 -- 0 3,8 80

Call it Autonav 1, because the RBB stats give it a Pilot rating of 1.
Also, I don't believe any FASA-published vehicle has a fractional CF
value, so I personally would round that off to 3 or 4 (depending on how
you want to round, up or down).

> Seating 1

Add one seat -- the original was 1+1, while here it's suddenly a single-
seater.

> Fuel Gasoline ( 30 liters )
> Economy 12 km/liter

IMHO you should try to keep the range of the vehicle the same (although
admittedly that's going to be tricky if it does 50 km/l with the original
stats...)

You don't really need to list those features, as they're design options.
Only accessories should be included in the final stats, IMO.

Apart from that, it looks pretty good. Now get going to work the remaining
44 :)

Thanx
descriptions will be added for sure, this post was just to ensure
the actual converting will be ok. i think i will post it on
my homepage (not ready yet, damn frames :/), as an zipped (or
RARed or whatever) htmlish cataloge. i am unsure about the images,
and of course *very* insecure about violating copyrights.
Hmh, if I finish this before FanPro sells R2d (no, it is not available
yet), maybe I could claim ... Just a thought :)

> All in all, good luck with it.

I just need the spirit to go on, not
that much luck needed, I think :)
But thanks anyway

Although this will drive the cost up...
the fractions will be rounded, yes. Missed that one...

Ooops

This is reeeaally tricky :)
But as it 20% better than that Harley,
it should be ok

It was copy/ pasted from that sheet

Yes, *sigh*, hope this gets too boring

BTW, I use "The Shop", as you all know written by James Ojaste,
and you can find it at this location:

It will, but IMHO the cost is the least important stat that you can match
to the original. As long is it'snot suddenly a 1000% increase or
something, it should be okay.

It can be. Mind on zero and gaze on infinity should get you through it :)

Ah, the smart option. Do beware, however, that there are some mistakes in
the data files. For example, IIRC if you add more than one hardpoint to a
vehicle, it only subtracts 10 kg from the Load -- i.e., for one hardpoint,
not for each of them.

Another thing I discovered is that some vehicles might loose their
munchkin style, the A200 if you know this one.
It had spd of 220 under R1 and other stats being average.
Now I came up with same stats, but the price changed to 9450
from 29000!! Wonder if I just add smart materials to get it
"right".
Btw, it had an economy of 2l/100km... funny ;)

Cool. I take a look for this :)

Thanks, but that mirror doesn't have the latest stuff - go to
http://ojaste.ml.org/~ojastej/SR/ instead. The IP address is
24.112.94.75 (just in case DNS blows up spontaneously). :-)

Doh! I thought I'd dealt with that. :-P
Ah well, I guess it'll force me to release v1.3.3 next week...

Go to http://jackpoint.org/mailman/options/shadowrn/your@*****.address
(replace your@*****.address by your email address) and there you can
check out your options.

(IIRC) there will be an option to set your account to nomail, so that
you won't receive any messages of the list anymore for a while.

Hope this helps.
