Normally I run my players out of Atlanta. I would
like to send them to Miami on a run. So I have 2
questions:

1. Is there anyone out there that has any game
resources for the city of Miami?

2. Can any GM's suggest some ideas to make the run
harder as they will need to cross into the Cuban
League for part (if not all) of the run?

Thanx in advance for you thoughts/advice.

OrcStSam

Cyberpirates. Anything with the Carib is in that book (along with the Gold
and Ivory Coasts in Africa and the Phillipans)
I know Miami's mentioned, but not sure how indepth it goes. I also can't
remember if Miami's even mentioned in Target: Smuggler's Haven (but the Big
Easy is).

Well, there's a step in the right direction.

According to Chris Haase, on Wed, 05 Feb 2003 the word on the street was...

As has been indicated, Cyberpirates! is the main source for data on Miami;
I don't think there's anything much in other books. You could possibly also
adapt material from the Miami Sourcebook for Millennium's End (if you're
lucky enough to find a copy of that :) which has a pretty detailed write-up
of Miami for a game set in an alternative modern-day world. I suppose much
of it would be useful for Shadowrun as well.

That "country" is called the Carribean League, not the Cuban League :)

Also don't forget that Miami has gone through some pretty serious upheavals
recently due to the events in Threats2. Also the horrible novel
"shadowboxer" takes place there.

Wasn't Shadowboxer the only novel FASA declared to be non-canon? I'm sure that they
decided after the fact that it'd be better if it was just quietly forgotten about. Either
way, the first half of the book was okay, it was the second half that it went to rat shit.

Ok, that piqued the curiosity meter. What was it about and just how bad was
it? Like so bad is funny or "Claw out your own eyes/Star Wars Christmas
Special" bad?
Apparently if the parent company won't even acknowledge it (like Lucas and
the aformented SWCS) it must be bad. (He's personally quoted as saying he'd
like to smash every copy with a hammer.)
