Hey guys. Ok. We're in the Chicago Containment Zone
near Wrightwood and Orchard in the old Lincoln Park
neighborhood. There are two characters up against the
wall of a very large building (almost can be
considered an arcology!) with curved armored glass
walls. One is an Elf Earth Elementalist with the
following spells:

ATTRIBUTES (21)
Body 3
Quickness 4
Strength 4
Charisma 6
Intelligence 4
Willpower 3
Essence 6
(Magic) 6

Reaction 4
Initiative 4+1d6

Submachine Guns 2
Interrogation 2
Bike 1
Car 1
Demolitions 4
Electronics 2
Negotiation 4
Aura Reading 2
Stealth 2
Sorcery 3

Knowledge Skills (20) Rating
Mafia-Controlled Establishments 2
Safehouse Locations 4
Gang Identification 2
Yakuza Territory 1
Criminal Organizations 2
Smuggling Routes 2
Fringe Cults 1
Elven Society 2
Combat Biker Games 2
Urban Brawl Games 2

Spells:
Fireball: 3
Toxic Wave: 6
Magic Fingers: 4
Fling: 2
Armor: 2
Ignite: 2
Fire Wall: 2
Create Food: 4

The other is a Dwarf Rigger currently jacked into the
building's system (she defeated the controlling
building rigger in rigger combat a while ago). She has
control of the entire building, which includes the 4
functioning gun ports out of 5.

Before the Elf was able to get out there to cover the
Rigger, she had been able to fend off about 20-30
Ancients gang members that rushed the building from
all sides. They never saw her. She used the building's
gun ports to take care of them.

Now, she has been spotted and an Ancients ganger is
rushing them with his bike. He's going to ram them
kamikaze-style. They are obviously going to defend
themselves and get out of the way.

My question is, what can the Rigger do? Can she use
her Rigger Initiative of 9 and attack with the gun
port? Or is she hindered with a +TN modifier because
it is a physical attack and not a Rigger attack? Can
the Elf Earth Elementalist do anything to defend
either of them and get out of the way of the bike?

I'm using the stats for The Ancients go-ganger from
the Elven Fire Adventure module.

Please help. Thank you.

-Scott

According to Scott Hiller, on Wednesday 24 March 2004 20:33 the word on the
street was...

If the rigger gets to act before the biker, then I don't see why she
shouldn't be able to fire on him.

How about Magic Fingers to squeeze the bike's front brake lever? That'd be
guaranteed to cause trouble for the rider... Not to mention that this
seems like a good time to just Fireball or Toxic Wave the bike, if the
Magic Fingers isn't an option (for example due to the bike being too fast
for that spell to keep up with).
