Has anyone out there thought of, or used the Immortals from the Highlander
movie/TV series? I thought it would be an interesting concept. No PC
Immortals though :-)

I would have thought Harlequin and Ehran classify as Immortals (roughly).

Yes..the topic has come up in the past..

I happen to agree..I think that most of those activly involved in the
discussion before ended up in a more negative frame though..

I agree..This could be kind of interesting..Getting some runners mixed up
in some kind of squabble between some powerful immortals...climaxing in a

According to Harlequin's Back, Harlequin and Ehran are immune to age,
pathogens, and disease and over 7000 years old.

If any of you asking about Highlander and SR would get the ShadowTK logs
from last fall you would see a plotline that used Highlander. If you want to
know the spell that has the effect of the Quickening: It's Urban Renewal. I
used vampiric mages in the storyline. Look for the names Mac, Katana, and
Rietz as the id's of the poster.(not the things that people hang on walls as
pictures) :).

Well, when you are that old and have a unique view on magic and can do
any known spell, I sure as would have things to stop bullets. :)
Fasa made a good comment with Harlequin. In H's Back they expanded on
what he was, but didn't give him stats. The said if you give something
stats, no matter how hard it is, someone will kill it. So no stats.

Rule of Role-Playing Games #1: If you give it stats, no matter how hard
it is, they will kill it.

Good enough paraphrase.

True, of course. Though, sometimes, I'd like to see a runner kill
Harlequin (just try...)

Been there, done that. It was quite cool, even as players. And
yes, he finally did die, but it was a good death.

I did kill Harlequin! I was walking along near a cliff, and I saw
harlequin and Thor leaning over the edge, taking in the view. So I ran
up and pushed them off and they both died and I got buttloads of Karma!
Plus Thor's hammer, which is a rating 15 weapon focus, but I got the
bonding for free, and it's really cool! Then I found that Holy Avenger
on that Orc I killed, but then I digress.

Postings of such extraordinary merit require no such invitation.

The scene: A large room shrouded in darkness, only partially illuminated
by a oblong hexagonal viewport. Within one may see a lone planet (account)
against the black backdrop of space (the internet). Standing before the
viewport is a tall, grim figure clothed in a field gray Prussian uniform.

Behind him, being restrained by guards, is the user known by the impressively
ridiculous appelation "the Great" Cornholio, whose home planet is presently
under the glare of this dark persona. With a gesture of dismissal, the
dreaded executor gives the command,

"You may fire when ready."

The steady drumbeat rises in tempo as various levers are thrown to bring the
awesome destructive power of the space fortress to bear ...

Outside, above the battlestation's main armament, verdant shafts of light
converge upon a single point and, in unifying, streak across the remaining
distance to rain electric death upon the unsuspecting planet.

Tom,
I could never, in my wildest desires, equate myself with the
exemplary individual known as Herr Dr. Doom. It is inconceivable,
in my hubis that I could ever achieve the level of loquaciousness that
he has garnered. *sigh* Since I cannot aspire to his level, I shall
content myself with the reign on the peak I have achieved. *sigh*
