Rob, I haven't flamed you yet because I'm having some small problems with
my text editor. I'll get around to it :)

And the Fearless leader is always wrong unless he's talking about admin stuff.

Oh good, I was beginning to think you didn't love me any more :-)

Ahh yes, to the world, Carter appears as my enemy. To me, he's the loyal
opposition...

Flaming in fun is dandy, cuz we all know it isn't meant as meanness.
Flaming for spite is a no no.

Well, how does one know the difference? And who's to say what is
meanness? We are looking at words on a comupter screen and do not know
(usually) what tone is being used. I mean, someone can do a meen flame
and disguise it as one that is not. Oh, well.

Smileys :) are a good cue that it is not a true flame. Also, many of these
"dandy" flames are between old friends that know each other fairly well. Both
Hayden and Jason Carter have been on the list for over a year - indeed Rob's
been here since its inception.

Basically, if something is not intended as a flame, smileys or even "I do
not mean this as a flame" work well. And if it's not taken by a flame by the
"target" then there's no problem.

Be nice and play fair. Now go get some cookies and juice before you take a nap.

I have recieved both types the mean and the jestful..Usually it is quite
easy to tell the difference. Even though as yet there are no
sens-o-meters on our computers the tone of a message is often very
reflective of the writers intent and disguises are usually rice paper
thin..Don't sweat it and keep the golden rule in mind...If you aren't
really offended by a message then it doesn't really matter does it?
