Well early (like 5%) reading of Aztech sourcebook has yet to find
mentions but!
There is certainly 'Blood magic' in there, with the usual FASA
warnings, as to what else they have been trying to conjour well, info
from that sourcebook awaits full deatiled read but it could include,
Horrors, Aztech Gods (that are not), Blood spirits (mentioned -
something new and FASA), Pastions (they are mentioned in
Tir-Taingire, Harlequin (i assume) comments 'you're a dead man i'll
send flowers to the guy that mentioned that.)

For further info i repost my old guesses about Aztechnology and
Horrors below, do note this was first put together some time back and
may be confirmed or denyed by Aztlan once i read all of it.

Ok don't know if anyones comment on this one before but here goes on
the guess work about horrors in SR. This is based purely on stuff in
the public domain, i have on Kage / FASA links so you should be able
to find all the base info.

This could be a real spoiler if i am correct so only read if you are
prepared to find out about some nasty guesswork.

Takes out security contract with Night Errant
Calls fire brigade (to tidy up after above)
engages shield of elemental water, well if Thera could have an
elemental shield in the fourth age why can't i have one now (see ED
for info on Thera)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

For those who have read or played HB the horrors are on thier way.
The flyer story 'voices from the past' mentions that they will be
2000 years early and are already building their bridge. How a few
things to get you thinking, in ED the sequence of astral trouble
(note these are all different things) is
1) wraithlike spirits that drive peolpe to violence against each other
yep the 'wraith' out of paranormal europe, note the last two shadow
comments that these things are most common about the Aztechnology
pyramid in Aztlan and Harlequins warning that these things are the
future if we don't stem the tide now!

2) insect like meshes of human / bug
yep called 'invae' in ED where they also took over a cult, everyones
'favouite' insect spirts, ah the UB!!

3) The horrors,
called 'the enemy' by Harlequin, does it matter there are millions
of the things and they come in sizes up to 'hunter of great dragons'.

The problems start when you realise that some are already on this
side, i am told a critter out of one of the books matches an ED
horror, yep on the physical planet Earth!

To be here already though someone must be calling them across, now
note where all the wraiths are, the fact that Mr bad guy from
Harlequins back (the one who has been calling the horrors for that -
note the things players get to fight are actually horror constructs
not horrors (see ED for the difference)) speaks in the old Aztec
toungue for centering, could he be from Aztlan??????

Yes its worse cause the only folks who go in a certain Aztechnology
pyramid where the wraiths are work for said corp, FASA don't say it
but the evidence here suggests that the corporation are behind this!
trying to bring the horrors accross!

so we have
Universal Brotherhood : bugs are us
Aztechnology : horrors are us !!!!!!

it also fits with 'Zeb Wanderly' file as why should Aztechnology know
about the bugs, simple the horrors don't want to arrive to find the
bugs entrenched with all of planet earths defences at thier disposal
they want to arrive and go eat everything, terrorise it e.t.c.
(depend on horror type).

well do you fancy facing these things,

There is a FASA request on this in HB i.e. asking do you want to see
the things loose in SR, that is presumably the world change that
could occur.
Note that even Harlequin reckons that with the magic level as it is
only the great dragons could hide from them, as to those wondering
how they could get across now read HB, then quiver!

Ok a pile of guesswork, i do know of one other GM that came
independantly to the same conclusions from the hints that are loose,
if there are any answers i suspect the Aztlan Sourcebook will be the
place to look, don't know though.

Happy hiding, constuctive comments appreciated, defenses activated
against any others!

--------------------------------

Well the new Nigel Findly Novel in Hawaii has folks pulling things
through that are certainly the Enemy!, good job someone stopped them
just in time. Very Very good read, and the list of interested parties
gets long and very potent. Note this lot have no links to none Hawaii
interests as far as i can tell from the book, but it might suggest
FASA have taken a 'no Scourge but a few Horrors about ' Answer to the
question in HB, depends of course on how 'timeline official' this
book is though Nigel also wrote the Aztlan sourcebook so i assume he
made sure it was somewhere near.

- allready had plenty of No's to 'would you like a one way ticket to
Atzlan?' - what a suprise.
