Let's see...
Someone asked about their sammies and Horrors. Not all Horrors are dual-
natured. Some are fully physical and some are totally astral. It's
just the duals are (I think) most common, and probably the most dangerous.
Remember, cyber isn't invisible in the astral. You can see a machine
just fine in astral. It just doesn't have its own aura, so if you went
astrally into, oh, a room that was totally sterile, you wouldn't be able
to see anything because it would be totally dark. (Gee, guess that would
make your astral form be quite a beacon there...)

If someone has that latest story, please post it. Also, if anyone knows
an FTP site that has the stories, what's the address? (As a side note,
teetot-Beelzebub is disappearing. It's going to cerebus.acusd.edu(?) or
something. Neat place; check it out.)

*****

My group playes with the rule of sixes on initiative rolls. (Though we
haven't applied rule of ones... well, rolling all ones on initiative is
bad enough.) It tends to even out the advantage of extra dice somewhat,
though you do have a definite advantage with more dice. Unless you have
weighted dice ("But who doesn't?") then sixes don't come up _all_ that
often. Sure, the person with one die might beat the sammie once, but it's
not going to happen often.

I believe that all the FASA staff have AOL addresses. At least the
important people do, like the DLoH (FASATom@***.com). Lou P., who is in
with EarthDawn at FASA is FASALou@***.com (and is also subscribed to the
ED list, which is cool. Gee, if FL becomes FLoH, will he stay
subscribed?)

On another topic, I pretty sure there's a newsgroup for Magic: The
Gathering. Anyone know the address offhand? I was gonna check it out;
and our school is cutting back on the newsgroups, so I want to check
and see if we have it or not, and request it from the news manager if
we don't. Thanks!

Cute saying. Ranks up there with," I never heard of a sword of
party-member slaying","How did Battlemechs get into this
dungeon?", and "What do you mean a force 20 free ally with
domain?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!"

Many people run the shadows, praying that whatever gods they worship will smile upon them.
I waltz through shadows with my gods, and I lead!

Ah, Gah, I damnably deleted the .sig before I looked to see who it was!
Dough, sorry whoever you are, but you wrote:

This is not quite true, everything has its own aura, otherwise you would
never be able to powerball a car. The rest of it is perfectly corerct though.

Yeah, it won't happen often for the guys with one dice, but the sammies they
are trying to beat will almost regularily roll an extra 6 and will end up
with inititive rolls higher than expected quite often. It is more of a
disadvantage for those with less dice than it is for those who have more.
Can be quite fun many fo the times though, like the time a bear rolled 30
something for inititive against a friends cyberguy, and absolutely caved him
before he had a go.
