You know that's a very good point. Ryumyo(sp?) was sighted in 2011. Most
games run in 2053-2057. The state of magic has progressed quite a bit.
I'd be interested in knowing how less than 1% of the people could make
such rapid advancements ... yeah yeah yeah immortal elves .... bite me.
The way I see it although the mana levels would reach "critical" level at
2011, perhaps on ley lines or power points, or just lucky breaks magic
would break out even earlier, say even NOW!!! Now there would be a vein
of material that is new.

So I propose;
If people want, I would be willing to edit a net-novel, or maybe submit
it to FASA if there is enough interest. So if you want, submit short
stories about the early heady days of the awakening. Make sure you
include a blurb of legal gobbeldy gook saying that your stuff is yours
etc etc etc. Also include a statement telling whether or not you want me
to try to submit your portion, and the finished product to FASA.
Oh yeah, I just thought of this make sure you kep an original copy for
yourself, you might want to get it notarized or something to keep the
legal types happy ( I have no knowledge of copywrite law so help on this
part would be greatly appreciated)

Also FASAMike, what kind of procedures would one have to do to submit a
book like this?

So here goes;
Title: "Tales from the Awakening"
Maximum Length; 10 8 1/2 by 11 inch typed pages (or e-mail text)
Time Frame; anything before the "Standard Stuff"
Characters; I don't care, but FASA might so write what you want, and
we'll see.

Also, think about this -

It's 2011. Suddenly something new is sprouting in the world, that could
dramatically shift balances of power in every area of life.

HOW MUCH RESEARCH DOLLARS ARE GOING TO GET THROWN AT IT?

Think how far science has come in 40 years. Now say triple the funding
and imagine the results.
