Hya all.

Since I don't have any guns.... allright, I have a purple plastic one, but
that doesn't count. ;). Anyways, I was wondering, how many guns of what size
can one carry? Oh, I know, you can't carry 2 assualt cannons, but whattabout
ligh/heavy pistols and submachineguns like the uzi and heckler&koch(Also
nicknamed Henk.;)). How many can you carry? With and or withouth holders?

Hoping the ones with experience (and those withouth, of course.;)) can help
me out,

Well, it depends on how your kitted out.
If you have the right holsters, it's not too tough to carry a pistol on each
hip, on on each ankle, and two at your shoulders.
It'll be hard to move, but it's possible.

Depending on the size, you could probably do the same with SMG's, maybe even
tuck on in front and back of your belt.

Assault rifles I'm not sure.
These very widely in weight an M16 is fairly light, carrying 2 shouldn't be
a problem.
They are bulky though, so it'll be tough to run, jump, etc.

Anything larger is heavy and bulky and tough to maneuver with just one, so
while you could conceivably fire two MMG's, moving about while you do so is
not a good option.

Of coures all this does not take into account the users Strength, and other
equipment ie. Gyro Mounts.

Hope this helps.

OK Handguns first,

We are ofcause talking "normal" sized pistols here not extended
barrel handcannons .. :)

One under each arm ... one on each leg ... one in each hand :) ...
and perhaps one in the back of the belt ... That makes 7 ... But I
wouldn't recommend this ...

I wouldn't recommend more than possibly three or four ... it could
get kinda uncomfy with more ...

Assault Cannons ... Well you could carry more than 1 but not in
fireable condition ... So one assault cannon if you wanna
rock n' roll.

Assault Rifels ... In in hand and one on your back ..and you can
still be combat ready ..

SubMachine Guns ... I wouldn't have more than two of these either ..
even thou they are smaller than the AR they are larger than handguns
and well it is rarely something you would wanna put under your arm.

Loaded to bear, eh? Sounds like you want to get all dressed up with
nowhere to go (hide that is). After we get past worring about that little
used encumbrance rule let's get practical on what we are trying to do.
Different guns might be good for different purposes but lugging them all
around is idiotic. Also are you even considering having extra ammo for
all these pieces you want to be toting around. Common sense should
restrict you on your choices. Don't forget to plan for needing your hands
free of weapons at some point so all your guns need to be holstered
somewhere.
What I consider practical for a loaded to bear situation is one
"sling" weapon (SMG, MG, or rifle) one or two handguns(underarm or belt
depending on one or two fisted shooting and one smaller emergency piece
(ankle or underarm if gun belt is used).
Two fisted guns-a-blazing style would be clips and light pistols
placed where ever is not constricting and easy to get to for non-stop
shooting enjoyment. Don't forget that incapacitated opposition no longer
needs their firearms so don't worry too much about having to provide your
own. I also wouldn't try this unless you're planning for a fight handled
in a John Woo style of action.

For an indication of how many guns a person can carry I would suggest
you watch the film "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka". This has a very graphic
example of typical over-arming, and can be used as a guideline for
characters <grin> Just whatever you do... _DON'T_ fall over.

I saw an article in a US gun magazine where a pudgy man in a suit took
off the jacket and trousers, to reveal that he was a skinny guy wearing
no less than thirty holstered pistols :)

Realistically... medium machineguns and larger are significantly heavy
and bulky, and one per person is an eminently realistic limit (having
had to run cross-country carrying a L7 GPMG, I believe this strongly)

Assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs... you could manage two, maybe. One
slung, the other carried. I did once end up carrying three rifles and a
SMG during a march & shoot, but that was a special case and they
wouldn't have been usable (I was acquiring weapons from teammates who
were lagging and needed to lose some weight, we were all running with
weapons and web gear: I had a tangle of weapons over my shoulders, none
of them easily accessible).

Pistols... lots, except weight and practicality intrude. Realistically
you don't tend to need more than two pistols; one in a behind-the-hip
holster and the other at an ankle holster, for instance. (Could go to
three if you like John Woo - two heavy pistols and a concealed PB-120
for backup)

The first question is concealed or not? And if concealed what does
your character plan on wearing?

Concealed, wearing a closed long coat, the maximum is 10 (or 12)
pistols (2 ankle holster , 2 thigh holster, 2 belt holster (maybe 4
if they are small), 2 sholder holster, 1 chest (tankers) holster and
1 in the center of the back) and 2 othere fire arms ( SMG, sawed off
shotgun, small assault rifle, or grenade launcher) on slings. Why
anyone would want to carry this many I have no idea. There is little
advantage to more then one or two pistols. Extra ammunition is
another thing entirely, but there are better ways of carrying it then
in pistols.

If concealment is not a question, then all the locations above are
available plus across the back and in the characters hands (not
recomended as what ever you are carrying must be dropped if you want
to use any of the iron mongery you are carrying)

A more practical concealed load out is a primary pistol and a back-up
(hold-out or similar small pistol). a large knife and one other
weapon (small SMG or a cut down Assault rifle, shotgun or grenade
lancher )on a modified carbine sling on the characters strong side.
Add two extra clips for the primary pistol and 4 magazines for the
"long" gun and you have more then enough to get you in to trouble.

For runs where concealment is not a problem, I would add 4 more
magazines and a couple of grenades (smoke, flash-bangs, or tear gas)
and change from the carbine sling to an assault sling (weapon falls
to chest). A pump shotgun, loaded with slugs (for hinges and locks)
carred in a scabard, accross the back might be in order for one
member of the "door team".

Jod,
The only limit you have is to the overall encumbrance you want to have the pc
lug around.
