Subject: I have the power!

Well, for those of you that have been reading the newest munchkin post you
may have seen Bull's comment on some of the PCs I've allowed in my game. Yes,
there's a were-rhino (though Tinner is waiting for the official "were" rules
to be released, before he plays that character again). Yes, there's a dragon.
but when push comes to shove, I have the power (*note* Humming the theme song
to He-Man is a nice touch when making such a claim)!
Sure their characters are powerful, but who's more powerful than me...the
GM? In my world everything has balance (some just have a higher threat
rating, that's all). I won't let my world become unbalanced...sure it can be
argued that I already have (allowing a dragon is a bit much), but I have toned
him down some. Right now, he's a bit better than a maxed out troll (not bad
for a PC...and in typical munchkin fashion the PC bitched about it). Sure,
he's more powerful than the rest of the group...but then again, all the big
nasties go after him first (take out the biggest threat). He'll learn that
proteans are bad to get on you...he suffered a couple of light wounds.
Yes, my world is truly frightening, because it is unpredictable...Bull
swore that he would never run with me again (too much chaos even for him!!!).
Of course, he keeps coming back for more...the fool. All in all, things
happen in my world because it makes them either entertaining or just plain
scary. It adds mystery and confusion. Paranoia is another goal I hope to
install into my players...maybe they may even learn to trust each other out of
sheer necessity. Oh well, just some more of my rantings.
