You sent it correctly the first time. The 'auto-greeter' is very tired, he
just started a new job. Have you read the FAQ's yet? They are at
www.coastnet.com/~dvixen/shadowrn.html, if you haven't.

No, it wasn't me. Really! I had enough trouble with my computer to have
time to play with hotmail, but Adam... check the adress: John Doe, err,
Dole, as SRtest@... (or something like that...).

Hey, time to wake up! :-)

Question:
If a mage casts Levitate person while standing in the roof of a moving
vehicle, what happens? Does he goes with the vehicle? Does he stops in
the air? That's a nice quiz.

My take on it is that that depends on how evil the GM is :) I'd probably
make the target hang still relative to the earth, so the vehicle would
move out from under him or her.

I'd have the target slow down in horizontal movement (no friction with the
car to keep him moving, after all...). Now, how fast is the car going, how
long can you keep the guy in LOS? :)

But if the mage is falling down a waterfall(a very high one), and
THEN, in the middle of the fall, he activates a Levitate Person Spell
Lock, what happens?
Just keep falling?
Stops falling?
Start Deaccelerating ?

umm...
quite complicated.
(Let's not enter the field of activatin/not activatin Spell Locks,
please. It was just an example)

Good question. I can imagine two things as being likely:

A: The mage is falling at speeds within the speed limit of levitate
person. He can start deaccelerating, and automatically stops gaining
falling momentum.

B: The mage is falling at speeds outside the speed limit of levitate
person. What happens here is either the same as A, or the spell is
overloaded and fails. I do not know which, but would guess the same
as A.
