Ummm ... SR - 3rd Edition is in the planning stage, due out August 1998
tentatively. Steve Kenson is looking for ideas about stuff we'd like to see
fixed in SR3
Rigger BB2 is coming soon, like end of month IIRC.
Bull's a Wendigo.

I think Tinner covered much of this but here's what's up:

Shadowrun, 3rd edition: due out for GenCon '98, SR3 will fix problem
rules, clarify vagaries, update the Matrix and Rigger sections with the
rules that are found in VR2 and the upcoming RBB2. Steve Kenson's
announcement has prompted great amounts of discussion on what needs fixed
and on how to do it. You've missed 'great' (in quality and amounts:)
discussion on SR3 and astral space, spellcasting, conjuring (mostly my
fault:), character creation, and probably some stuff I can't remember:)
Oh, yeah! Lots o' stuff on geasa.

GenCon: the list is going to be a bit quieter for a few days later this
week as lots of list members leave for Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend the
largest gaming convention in the US. And they'd darn well better bring
back a full report;)

Bull the Ork Decker turned Wendigo: Tinner's doing nasty things to Bull
(again). This time, after taking a survey of the list, he's turning him
into a Wendigo.

The Newbie's Guide to Shadowrunning: you've missed the inception of
ShadowCreations, Bull's latest folly:) Ask him (while he's still here)
for more info.

Some discussion on Gradual Initiation, the beginnings of what could have
been threads on OSes (safely squashed) and religion (safely taken
private), but that includes most of the big threads and recent events.

Golly gee whiz! I thought they'd never get the RBB2 out. Tell me are
they planning to drastically change the rules in SR3 like they did in
SR2? Bull's a Wendigo eh? This has something to do with Werewolf : The
Apocolypse doesn't it?

heyheyheyheyhey! Lets try not to be insulting, eh? I can see the guys mix
up (Wendigo the werewolf tribe, Wendigo, the Sr animal) but I thought he
would've guessed at the paranormal first, myself.

Can we please try and not bash other games around here? It doesn't exactly
breed good will.

Wendigo: In WW, a purely Native American tribe of Werewolves; in SR, an Ork
who's been infected by the HMHVV (Vampire) virus. And I beg to differ, WW
isn't crappy, just different.

Heh. You oughta see what happens when you put 'em in a live Vampire game!
Subltety? What's that? I've had one character for two and a half years now,
one of the oldest characters there. He could give any of the toughest
characters published a run for their money, and he hasn't been around as a
vamp long. The worst part is, he's that power level primarily to survive!
We've actually had in-game air strikes called, it gets so munched.....

Wolfstar, wondeering why he still plays....
