In the Tir Tangire Sourcebook, by Findley, Jenna Ni-Fairre is one
of the Council of Princes. In the aside associated with her character, a
'runner' tells of viewing a VERY old portrait of what appeared to be an
elf with thorns growing out of her skin, blood dripping from the wounds,
dressed in a light gossamer fabric, who bore a STRIKING resembalance to
Jenna. And later, she is refered to her as 'Blood Queen'. Draw what
conclusions you will.

I believe the picture and not Jennas refered to as our beloved Blood
Queen by the Laughing Man.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal names
more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they
answered to another name, because if another discovered their real name,
it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.

In "Worlds Without End", it seems Jenna is Alachia's daughter. However,
I don't treat the novels as canon...

This section could be clearer, but the portrait is probably of her
mother Alachia who being the queen at the time of the ritual of
thorns must be a blood elf. (the reason for the 'unexplained'
exploding rose bushes :) ). Quite a few more of the immortal elves
are blood elevs though which is a good question. Harlequin come from
the 'city of shining spires' (see ED Denzines of ED 1) come the
comment about 'last knight of the crying spire' and is probably not,
and Ehran almost certainly come from there as well (being slightly
younger and having the same teacher) The rest it is almost impossible
to comment on.
Now this of course points out the easy way to frag up the elves, the
ritual of thorns mana threshold, whos going to worry about the big
guy in the corner (Troll) when that thing over there has thorns that
weep blood sticking out of it :)

Sure...let's draw that Jenna is Alchia's (the blood queen) daughter
and stop this thread.

Alachia is the 'Blood Queen', this is already revealed in Worlds Without
End. My guess is Jenna is immortal as well, althought I can't find any proof
to back this up.
