Hi everyone, a newbie to the list here with a few questions.
You've probably discussed these before when you were (unknowingly)
suffering from the void of not knowing me, but bear with me.

Harlequin, Aina and so on. Has anyone got any info on these guys?
I've got the Tr books and the (sketchy) data on the High Five. Sorry,
bad joke.

Secondly, has anyone done anything on the EuroWars as such? I've read a
lot of stuff which mentions it, but I was contemplating doing an in
depth sourcebook myself, have I been preempted?

And thirdly, nice to be here, and slonshal. <greetings>

Get Harlequin and Harlequin2, Tir Tangire, and Tir Na Nog, if you don't
have them, they should answer most of your questions.

I got mine at a used game section at a store. You might look
there (if your local stores have a used game section). Or you might
advertise in here for one. I'd let you have mine, but I need it for my
campaign.

O god, another newbie who appologizes for being one :) :)

Get Harlequin and Harlequin's Back, also Horrors (for Earthdawn). There
are no published stats for H or Aina, but there are stats for that Horror
whose-name-I've-gotten-really-tired-of-typing :) As you will already know,
they're immortals who've live since the Fourth World.

AFAIK, nobody has done anything of this nature. I don't really see the
need for it, either, but if you want to who am I to stop you? :)

Har'lea'quin (not sure if this is corectly spelled, not at home at the
moment) is an immortal elf. He was born about 500 years or so before the
Earthdawn game (if you've played it. By FASA, the best fantasy game on
the market. If don't know some of the words in this post, buy ED) He was
originaly a knight of the Crying Spyre in an old elven city destroyed by
the horrors under the 3. scourge. It is a little unclear what he has
been doing since the reopening of the kaers in ED and there is little or
noe info on what he did during the last scourge. He has been the main
character in two SR adventures - Harlequin and Harlequins back. The
first one is a story about a fude between him and Ehran the Scribe (yes,
the guy from World without an end.) and the second one is about bigger
baddies ;) (won't spoil anything) He has also written comments is some
SR sourcebooks under the name "H" or "The laughing man"
H and Ehran have a long lasting hatred, but I'm not sure where it all
began. Sometimes they seem like deadly enemies, but thats not the
impression you get from Worlds without.., there it seems as though they
are just annoyed by eachother, but beeing 8000 years may have somehting
to do with it.
In the modern world of SR he is a major player. Beeing around 8000 years
old he packs a lot of juice, and knows the real powers in the awakened
world. (That means Dragons and other imortal elves and maybe some
spirits.) Along with Aina, he is one of the few immortal elves not
involved into too much world domination drek.
His only known real human friend, is Jane "Frosty" Foster. Ehran's
daughter. (long story) They have been hanging out for a couple of years,
and H is teaching her magic.

Apart from this, H is a really cool character. FASA describes his
personality as "quicksilver", and I must agree. He is one of those
people whom you never know. One minute he feels extremely sorry for
himself, and the next he is more energetic than a child with a new toy.
Again this is probably due to 8000 years of living.

<<<Spoiler warning>>>>

H's stats are never given. It is just said that he is capable of almost
anything, and that very few people/creatures on the planet wield magic
at his level. He is also a double grade initiate.

And apart from all of this, he is my personal favourite "Threat" or as a
motivator. But I do hope he is given a small part in an Earthdawn
adventure or sourcebook.

I'm not sure how much, but I believe that the Germany sourcebook contains
information on the Eurowars.

Yep. And we're still debating the question whether you can ground explosive
bullets through them (or was it hellblasts? or tactical nukes? :)

Or you might get a translation. Here in Germany the German translation of
Harlequin is available, maybe this module is translated into other languages,
too?
