I apologize to take the list's time for this, but it would be really
helpful to me.

Some time ago, I came across rules for playing Highlander type immortals
in Shadowrun, but I have lost them, and Internet searches are proving a
waste of time.

Pleeease....if you know where to find these rules, or if you have them,
let me know.

Thanks

I had some rules I came up with about five months ago, at one of my
player's request. I posted a couple of revisions to the list as well,
in a request for feedback.

I've since trashed my original set of rules for Immortals, and have a
second version that's little more than chaotic scratches on a few
pages from a spiral notebook. I feel they're much more balanced and
playable from a PC side. However, the player that had thought of
playing an Immortal at the time has now changed his mind so the rules
have never been typed up.

I keep having good intentions of typing them up and posting them to my
webpage, but my already hectic schedule is now busier with the birth
of the SRCard mailing list and a couple of other projects.

Anyways, enough babbling. I may be able to find my original draft of
the first set of rules (MS Word .doc _if_ I can find it). I can send
that private email. Then, if and when I get around to the second
version, I'll post an announcement on the list and you can knab that
as well.

<Mucho Snippago>

There is also an unofficial supplement for the WoD Storyteller games for
playing Highlander Immortals. Looks good, too.

Just wondering,

Since we're talking about Highlander... what did everyone think
about the season finale? Richie's DEAD!!! I can't believe it! Well, he
was kind of annoying first few seasons but...
What do you think?

<Really serious rant>
Oh for GODS SAKE!!! (not that I believe in him)
WILL YOU PEOPLE STOP IT!!!!!

I had enough trouble with morons not putting spoiler space in with Babylon 5
the other month.

JUST ONCE, WILL YOU USE THAT STUFF IN YOUR BONCE?
(They call it brains, y'know)

I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE OF TV SERIES I LIKE!

I mean, show SOME consideration you selfish git!

Highlander here only had Richie turning Immortal and the watchers becoming
an important plot device in the past few months or so.

I don't know what season you're on, (and I'm not sure what season we just
saw), but one of the last ones I saw was the one with the Immortal with one
hand..... (who used Mortals with machine guns to tip the balance in the
fight)

In other words...

SHUT THE F**K UP!

It's not just the spoiler space. This is a SHADOWRUN mailing list, not a
HIGHLANDER one.

It's decent. You could probably model a decent system off of conversions,
but the biggest problem with playing an Immortal is that they really can't
advance their supernatural abilities without playing headhunter.
Consequently, you get Immortals running around and cutting heads off. I'd
also say that the Quickening would be a halfway between Karma and Force
points, and arrange it so that a magically active character could "win" an
engagement, and if the character is a physad, possibly become Immortal
himself.(Just don't tell the players. =) )
