I was rereading "Harlequin's Back" in preparation to running it, and
came up with an interesting conundrum.

In "Masquerade", the last part of "Harlequin's Back", there is a
description of the other guests at the party. They're described as "Some
of the most powerful entities of the SR universe." Below is guesswork as to
who they might be.

Auric: Auric is quite clearly Ehran the Scribe, based on the personality
and the line about "dressed as a nobleman of the French courts".

Jack-In-The-Green: Good question. The Horned God totem?

Lady Rose: Lady Rose is clearly a Blood Elf, given the pun on the name and
the way she keeps dabbing blood off her face and neck. Problem is, *which*
Blood Elf is she? The only Blood Elf I am aware of is
Alachia/Hecate/Sheila Blavatska... and I'm sorry, I can't envision Alachia
referring to *someone else* (Luna) as "the witch-queen".
So the best working assumption is that Lady Rose is Lady Brane Deigh.
Which leaves us with an interesting question -- when the hell did she
become a Blood Elf, and *why*?

Luna: Based on our conclusions about Lady Rose, she would be Alachia. Ehran
the scribe is Alachia's younger brother? Or is she speaking figuratively?

Lady Rouge: again, good question. The Loa Erzulie?

Mother Mondas: no question there at all, she was tossed in to confuse us. :)
I have no idea who Mother Mondas might be, except perhaps the Great Mother
idol.

Raven, Coyote: totems of the same name.

Ronin: no idea. Lung? Masaru? If so, the great dragons are sorely
under-represented.

Smith: again, no idea. Why on earth would he be there?

I welcome any comments, 'cause I'm clueless here. :)

Besides Ehran, I think all these are mythic archetypes, not real people. Lady
Rose is not a blood elf, she is the Archetypal Blood Elf. others are various
totems and idols, and what-not.

Alachia is not Hecate/Sheila Blatavaska. Hecate/Blatavaska is the
"Queen of the Heavenherds" referred to in the Theran Empire sourcebook.

That would be the Queen of the Heavenherds, whose name I can't recall
offhand...

I wouldn't expect a dragon to show up as a masterless warrior...
that would imply that they had peers with masters.
