To answer those questions about how the increased attributes work in
astral space, the answer is they don't. See Grimoire II page 86 Humans in
Astral Space. BTW SRII is in error when it says Astral Reaction is equal
to twice Intelligence. The same section of GrimII states that it is just
plain Intelligence.

or one could look at it and say that GrimII is error and SRII is right.
It is all in how you want to view it.

Yes, Nightfox, but GrimII came out last, so it takes presidence. Besides,
haven't you ever wondered why magicians were faster than spirits in astral
