OK, here's another nifty ideer:
using my vast enchanting skill (heh) I can create multiple-use foci. The
example in Grimthingie is a power focus 2/combat spell focus 3. Presumably,
if you activated this focus, both of the above powers would activate at once.
This'd be useful because it's only one thing you hafta get out of astral space
before it gets hashed by someone's Magesword and your Karma investment is
wasted.

Therefore, Ralph can create a Spell lock/Spell lock, a spell lock with two
slots in it, and use both his Personal Combat Sense & Increase Reflexes at
once. You just couldn't turn on one without the other.

And YES, you can deactivate a spell lock. You're thinking of Quickening, which
is always on, and always hanging over your widdle astral head.

No, I am sorry, I must disagree. You pay separate bonding costs;
each foci serves a different purpose; therevore I would conclude
that you have to activate each foci separately.

However...you candeactivate them both at once by dropping the
magesword. This is a bonus making staked foci worthy of
creation.
