What if the Ally inhabits a hollow statue, complete with articulated limbs?
For example, something akin to gothic plate armour, perhaps? This is one
way of duplicating the artifacts of myths and legends....

The MAIN thing that keeps said artifact from being munchkin is that to
create said Ally requires a very hefty amount of karma. I have yet to
see a mundane campaign in which players float around with double digit
karma to spare....
