Why would orks and trolls have higher instinct than other metahumans?

Because their physical and pschological make up are slanted towards physical
confrontations and activities. They also have a propincity for violence which
is either caused by genetic or social programming, but which is not know.

The 'propensity towards violence' I will have to assume is social and not
genetic, otherwise it becomes a sad justification for violence (my genes
said I had to rip dat guys head off!).

I guess I don't see enough in the orks and trolls to show they'd have a
higher instinct that others.

Maybe not literally genetic, but look at the people who are chemically
unbalanced, i.e., the criminally insane. Sometimes someone's brain
chemistry just doesn't interface with the world like everyone else's,
and they have that "propensity toward violence". Shoot, testosterone
does the same thing. There's no reason Orks and Trolls couldn't be
built with a violent bent.

It's neither social or genetic. It's a result of the Change. Orks/Trolls born
as such have no greater propensity to violence than anyone else, but many of
the goblinized Orks & Trolls get mentally unhinged by the trauma they undergo.
(Not just the pain and agony, but the social trauma as well).

Course, it's a lot easier to have a propensity to violence when you can break
peoples backs by giving them a friendly slap. :)
