How often are you seeing shadowrunns set up by a Mr. J. against his own corp?

Possible motives could be interdepartment rivalries (trying to insure the
next promotion), coverinig up failures or delays, or checking security
(ever seen "Sneakers").

Actually, that was this week's session with my group. Johnson hired us
to break into one of Ares' subdivision offices and datasnatch a new
prototype (turned out to be nothing more than a diagram for the '59 Dodge
Scoot). Supposedly, it was Damien's birthday and most of the employees
were off, including corpsec. Apparently, the Johnson's supervisors
wanted to test out the latest graduates from Knight Errant, armed with
some lovely prototypes of their own. Imagine how hard we laughed.

Actually, within the Corporate Shadowfiles sourcebooks, under the corporate
group of "Shiawase" and "Fuchi" you could have some really impressive
concepts
to this end.

Or Blood in the Boardroom for that matter. The in-corp fighting gets
truely nasty there.

Intra-divisional shadowruns (or the like) between one or more divisions is
something common to all of the corps, as different people compete for funding
and research information, personal vendettas, but, perhaps the biggest reason
of all for this occuring ... people with large egos who do not want someone
stomping on their toes and possibly ruining their cushy little job ...

And there is some corp, Saedder Kruppe, which I believe is the one where this
happens the most, seeing as Fuchi used to rank first before they dissipated
into nothingness.

Then there is always the popcorn run ... tp'ing someone's office completely on
April Fool's Day ...
