Drop an anvil on their head.

Serious!

I was running a group of people (6) and three of them were always at odds
to the detriment of everyone's enjoyment. So everytime they started
getting out of line >BONK!< an anvil would appear in midair and crash
down on their head, causing a serious stun.

They learned after three lessons that infighting was stupid.

But I'm also silly.

I suppose it depends what kind of interparty conflict you have. If it is
just arguing between players and a tendency to split up when not faced with
pressing danger...well put them in situations where they have to stay
together to stay alive (bad movie plot, I know). If the party is killing
eachother every other action, I don't know what to do. As a player I tend
to get tired of that sort of thing quickly. I look for other players who
are tired of it and then we step in and make them stop. Or kick them out of
the party. If they attack me directly then I take it personally and either
leave or strip them of their power personally. The only thing you can
really do is wait for the party to get tired of it and deal with the
situation.

I just do not have a health attitude toward other party members who try to
kill me. I usually make a point of terminating their cha. on the spolt and
without mercy. I have had to put up with a lot of "difficult" parties in
many different games. Each time the party members who were making trouble
were people my GM was happy to see leave. He is not very tolerant either.

Some interesting points have been raised over interparty conflict. One GM I
sometimes play with is all for it, in fact one of his adventures (a starting one
admittedly) had one member hired to find and kill another member.

The other thing to remember is these are the shadows, the real gritty life
where a squatter will kill you just for the boots on your feet and a 'team
member' might find it all too easy to kill another team member with that
10 000 certified credstick while in some back alley and put the blame on local
gangers. This is real, this is dirty and this is violent, that's how we play
shadowrun. I believe the quote goes 'Paranoia is not a condition it's a way
of life.'
