Eb:>someone argued that elves are alive thus they must also die.(or
something similar in words) Look, the word immortality implies that
something !!-living-!! would !!-live-!! forever. Are you going to say that
the word immortal can't exist either now? You haven't witnessed
immortality and you haven't witnessed an elf. Wow, there's one
charactaristic they share already. Elves are immortal! (go ahead
argue, i need it)

Invisibility:the definition of invisisible-Not visible. 2.Not open to view.

I'd say magic is a science and science is magical. Elves exist, so
does reality, but nothing is imaginary. Everything is real.

Even 'nothing' is something. Therefore it isn't nothing.
Anyone who is actually worried about reality vs. unreality, can
attempt to explain to me the difference between the two if there are
actually two. I believe there is only one.
Remember: "All is and nothing isn't."

You know, while I may be a bastard, and I may not be the nicest person
here, I have tried to avoid out and out flaming. But here
goes--FLAME ON--elfboy's above comment has to be one of the STUPIDEST I
HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!! Good God boy, what are you thinking? Is this
supposed to be like Zen and Shadworun or something? PLEASE!!! Get on
grip on reality or something closely approximating it!! --FLAME OFF--

Okay, now I am back to normal. I have given up on the immortal elves
arguement and the science vs. magic arguement because it seemed like we
were only getting dogmatic beliefs (I could be wrong there), but at least
NO ONE was stupid enough to post anything like elfboy did.

Pardon me. Are you actually stating that an Elf, Homo Nobilus, is
capable of the life eternal? As a vampire, I would strongly disagree.
(not really a vampire, but I play one in Shadowrun).
I recall no Immune to Age statement in the SRII sourcebook: at
least not pertaining to homo nobilus. In fact, should we create a 0
allocation choice on the master character generation list for this kind
of thing?

Not every elf. That seems to be most of what everyon is griping about.
Only a select few elves seem to live forever. I would attribute that to
powerful magicks anyway.

When I first got on this mailing list...I read that PERSONAL INSULTS WERE
OUT OF THE QUESTION and punishable by banning from the mailing list.
Whistler's comment is far beyond this. Don't get personal...This is a
public mailing system and your comments aren't really that impressive.

Lay off.
