No Flames, just a little physics.
Invisibility (at least Improved Invisibility) wraps light around you.
Unfortunately, your body gives off Heat (I.E. Infra-Red light). They don't see
you, they see your heat pattern. As for why you can see people using the
normal invisiblity, beats the blood hell out of me. Must be that heat trail
leading up to where your standing that gives you away.
