I would say that the LOS concerns the
auras of the spellcaster and targets.
That means that even though the
caster covers his eyes, his aura still
"sees" the targets and everybody is
affected by the spell (except a target
which is hiding behind a wall or anything
blocking astral sight) including the
spellcaster ...
