Sorry if I'm wrong, I don't have my stuff with me at work. I thought
that vampires, and wendigos were dual natured. That "ought" to be a tip
off right there :-) . If I have recalled incorrectly, just forget I said
anything at all.

Boy thesis writing sucks. I'm up to 75 pages (graphics included) wiht no
sign of slowing down.

Regards

Nope. Vampires, Wendigos, Nosferatu, Goblins, Dzoo-Noo-Qua, Fomorians,
and Banshee are not dual-natured. Bandersnatches (vamped Sasquatch, I
think), and Loup-Garou I don't know about. Ghouls are dual.

I had rather believe all the fables in the legends and the Talmud
and the Alcoran, than that this universal frame is without a mind.

You have recalled incorrectly -- vampires, wendigos, and banshees are all
normal critters who happen to have a fluctuating Essence rating. Even
if they were dual-natured, though, David's suggestion that an astrally
perceiving character will notice something is wrong, but not what exactly,
is still valid.
All you should tell the player in such a case is that there's a
dual-natured human over there, unless the character has much experience
in recognizing vampires from the astral. With the next vampire the
character assenses, let him/her roll a Perception test to notice the
similarities between the aura of this person and that of the last one.

Vampires are not dual creatures but Nosferatu ARE! I don't know about
Wendigos.
