This weekend, I watched _Casablanca_ on video, and suddenly realized how
important that film is as Shadowrun source material. Casablanca, I
suspect, is
the source of the FASA notion about how the shadows work! The local officials
get the job done while taking bribes, everyone knows everyone else (to the
degree that one person walking out of a bar can tell the newbie which person
he's looking for), and everything has a price.

Try sitting your Shadowrun groups down to watch the film sometime when you've
been in the 2057 mindset for a while. It's really interesting...
