Yeah, what really gets me is the lack of drones that are reasonably different.
What is missing is:
1. Waterbased drones. let's face it, what better way to
get a boatr than to steer an explosive drone next to it. Also fun for low
signature deliveries across the Sound. What I'd really love is a submarine
drone. Just think of it. Damned hard to detect due to the low heat signature
and the size. Great for smashing the keel of a boat, or as above,
transporting contrabnd in small amounts.
2. Fast land based drones. What I would really like is a
drone like those model cars that can flip over and keep going. If you're in a
drone, it doesn't matter if there's an upright cockpit or not, so
double-sided car chassis are practical. You could also build it around an
Uzi, or load it with some plasique. I guess this is really a land shark
equivalent.
I would design them myself, but I lack the inspiration currently.
