Heh. Never thought of what you guys do outside of SR and posting to the list.
For some reason I assumed everyone here was a computer geek like me. :)

Well, you're right. ;-) I _am_ a computer geek. (ironically enough) I even
work in the CIT department of a university.

The fire stuff is a hobby. (For the moment. Making it into a career is a
slow process)

<Sarc>Gee, and I just assumed everybody was skinny, tall, white, male,
wore
glasses, had dreadlocks, multiple body piercings and tatoo's, and flailed
about in part time jobs trying to make enough money for ramen...</sarc>

Damn. The secret's out.

(For those that are curious and haven't been scarred by this experience
already, you can go see what I looked like two years ago at the hideously
outdated http://users.arn.net/~remo and scrolling towards the bottom of the
page, or hit the Pictures link up towards the top of the page.)

Cute. I really like the one of the "tough Patrick". It made me laugh so hard. I
think I'm going to use it in some way... Oh, yeah, the Random Picture of the
Week in my school newspaper! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!

According to Sebastian Wiers, at 23:12 on 11 May 00, the word on the
street was...

You may need some new glasses... :) I didn't see many ShadowRNners fitting
that description at the last two GenCons...

Don't take this the wrong way, but which one is the "tough
Patrick" picture? (I'd guess ~remo/images/Tommy-Gun.jpg, based on the
premise, "Everyone looks brave holding a machine gun.")

Hey, at least you're more photogenic than me! :) I'm
completely incapable of holding a smile still for a camera.

Oh, umm, yeah.

OBSR: Does anyone use props when they GM? If so, what are some of

Well......in a Vampires:TM game I once saw, the storyteller had stuck a
large sign in a potted plant that read,

"Plot Device--Do Not Touch".

I once produced a pack of cards during a game to the runner's great
amusement. The best thing any GM can have is a GM screen; behind it dice
can change result, NPCs can be made capable of putting up a better fight and
plots can change direction in a thought.

There's a "tough Patrick" picture?

Yeah, what he said. I need to find this so I can show it to my players....

I've got an old, beat-up-but-still-functional slimline handheld tape
recorder that gets used as a pocket secretary on occasion (some of my
players using real cell phones for this purpose). Got a couple of old,
realistic-looking cap guns (bought long before they were required to be made
out of irridescent plastic) that occasionally see use. I frequently make
handouts and dossiers and such using MS Publisher and stuff like that.

So...ocasionally.
