And let that be a reminder - always have a backup stored in a safe place !:)
Besides, wasn't Operation Sundown mostly a demonstrative action on the
part of the US state? I mean, they got a few targets, raised awareness
levels, spooked the publics, spooked the hackers, but aside - did
it matter anything but showing that the gov wasn't completely ignorant of
the problems?

No. But it would sure create havoc amongst the public opinions and raise
awareness. I'd prefer die kicking instead of die silently, but then I'm
in this case not likely to, as I'm a citizen of a female society where such
restrictions on games are generally regarded as only inducing to obstinancy
and breaking the rules.
Thus they're generally not implemented and even though they could be,
our police would regard them as completely idiotic and therefore do very
little about it :)
Anyway, let's see what happens.
