Okay, here is one concept that we have implemented here that, IOO, works far
better than a "Horror Construct", AND it uses the rules that exist with SR up
to this point in time (MitS not-withstanding, correcting, adjucating,
etcc....).

Make Juan Atzcapotzalco a "Grande' Zombie", one that has gone free. Yeah, you
read this right. In my opinion what happened somewhen in the past of SR is as
follows.

Juan had influence and power in the beginning, and it was beginning to look
like he was going to be getting more in the near future. Oscuro/Darke (with
all the knowledge his 'associates' were giving him) needed an extra "ally" on
the Aztechnology board. Somehow, sometime, Oscure managed to get Juan
cornered in some fashion, and Oscuro used techniques that parallel the Voudon
techniques for making Zombie beings (could even be somewhere between Voudon
Zombies and Cybermancy for that matter). And, with Oscuro possessing Juan's
True Name (as effectively, he had rendered a Juan a "controlled being", Oscuro
was able to use him as a "puppet" in all manners of the words.

Low and behold, along comes the Dragonheart Trilogy, and good ol' Oscuro
finally get's a sizable portion of whats' coming to him. At this point in the
power struggling, Juan Atzcapotzalco feels the weakening on Oscuro's end (due
to all that conflict that Oscuro was tied into at the time) and does what any
bound being attempts to do.

Go Free.

However, Oscuro, being the vindictive jerk that he is/was, had made plans for
this just to make certain that Juan is *never* given any sense of true
absolution/finality. He has "rigged" the Zombie-like enchantments' to become
a self-containing trap. As Juan breaks free of Oscuro's control, the triggers
take into effect. Suddenly the Zombie body itself becomes the "Hidden Life"
object for the Spirit being that Juan has become. Literally creating a trap
of what was once the living flesh of the same person.

Oscuro' has lost control, but takes some pride in knowing the fate that Juan
is now set to live with for the rest of eternity.

Juan is still "functional", but has to take all the steps that "Grande
Zombie's" must in order to remain "socially functional". The flipside is
that
now Juan is "Immortal" to various extents, and can finally play all the
"Big
Boy Games", and allow himself the patience to actually make them work. Juan
of course is still looking for final absolution, and it has made for more than
one plot hook here that is just downright awesome.

"Quick, you, I have heard that 'x' mage knows a counter-ritual, I need that
formulae, the only problem is, he's part of MCT's unit 7 research group in
Cairo and they aren't exactly willing to 'let me take a look'. So if I pay
you 'x' amount, can you do it for me? Yes? Good, here's an advance, go blow
'em away and bring that formulae!!!"

I'm sure anyone else can imagine the fun. It also let's Aztechnology gain a
chance (as I for one would like to see 'em get), yet not completely free them
of their "Darke Reputation", as Juan himself can't go out into public without
additional masking, perfumes, etc...

Just a thought or three...
